Education Sector Projects
Chelmsford County High School for Girls, Essex
Our flagship education construction project at Chelmsford County High School for Girls included a new science-focused teaching block, a new sports hall and outdoor tennis courts, and the conversion of the old sports halls into a library and teaching facility.
This combined £7m project involved working in collaboration with PCH Associates and Duncan Clarke & Beckett.
Southend High School for Boys, Essex
Two separate projects at Southend High School for Boys created a new library, teaching, administration and welfare block, and four new classrooms and a catering facility from repurposing outside spaces.
These combined projects represented a value of £3.5m. The project delivery teams included PCH Associates and Rees Pryer Architects.
Grange Academy, Beford, Bedfordshire
A new two-storey and environmentally-considered teaching block at Grange Academy provided a welcomed addition to the facilities for children with special needs aged 5 to 16. The modern and high-tech 10-classroom building replaced 10 inadequate and dilapidated mobile classrooms.
Funding of the £2.4m contract was secured by Ingleton Wood (project managers and architect) from the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund.
St Helena School, Colchester, Essex
The original site at St Helena School uncovered significant archaeological interest. After extensive investigations had been completed, construction works created a new teaching block focused on traditional and domestic sciences. It also included ancillary welfare and administration facilities.
The £2.3m contract was delivered with the project managers and architects at Ingleton Wood.
