On 30 December, Horizon Construction is supporting St Helena Hospice in Colchester by sponsoring a full day of their SinglePoint service.
The SinglePoint service at St Helena Hospice is a team of call handlers and nurses who provide advice and support to patients, families and health and social care professionals over the phone – 24 hours, 7 days a week. The Christmas fortnight is one of the busiest periods of the year for the team – usually receiving around 1,200 calls. It’s a vital service to help patients remain at home for Christmas and spend time with their loved ones, especially if they are facing their last Christmas together.
St Helena Hospice launched a festive fortnight campaign to raise funds to help keep people connected with their services during this time of year. Funding is critical to ensure their phone lines remain open and not transferred to answering machines. Horizon Construction is delighted to have the opportunity to get involved with the campaign and is a charity close to our hearts.
