“We are incredibly pleased to have broken ground on this site and to be selected by Barchester Healthcare to build this 62-bed care home. We are delighted with initial progress on site and look forward to creating a long-standing working relationship with the project team” said Steve Tilley, Commercial Director of Horizon Construction.

Senior Property Development Manager at Barchester, John McElholm, commented: “We are really excited to get this project under way.  Our Hextable home will be a fantastic addition to the local community.”

Elderwood House, a new care facility with 62 rooms that is due to be finished at the end of 2025, will feature amenities for residents to enjoy, such as a hair salon, cinema, spa and café.
