Representatives from Lovett Care, Holden & Lee, Horizon Construction and Harris Irwin Architects gathered on-site for the official groundbreaking for the new care facility in Chelmsford. The Horizon project team are excited about commencing work on this local scheme and the project’s advancement in the short period since starting on site.
“We are incredibly pleased to have broken ground on this site and to be selected by Lovett Care to build this 60-bed care home. We are delighted with initial progress on site and look forward to creating a long-standing working relationship with the project team” said Steve Tilley, Commercial Director of Horizon Construction.
Development Director at Lovett Care, Andrew Williams, commented: “We are pleased to be growing our portfolio of homes and building our very first home in Essex.”
The 60-bed Lovett Care facility in Chelmsford is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026 and will have amenities for residents to enjoy, including a hair salon, cinema, spa, and café. The new home will support the company’s mission of providing exceptional, person-centred care in a “home from home” environment that promotes safety and comfort for its residents.
