Construction News Update – Autumn 2020

Director’s welcome

Welcome to the autumn 2020 edition of our quarterly newsletter which contains a roundup of construction news across all areas of our business: automotive, commercial, education, healthcare and residential. We hope you find our news of interest and would be delighted to help with any enquiries you may have.

As like your business, our operations have had to adapt accordingly to the challenges we face due to the pandemic. Our team has made substantial changes to the way they operate to ensure new and evolving safety standards and a COVID-safe environment for the protection of everyone involved in our construction services. The health, safety and well-being of all our people is our highest priority at all times, whilst continuing to give our clients the confidence in their projects during every step of the process.

Continuing with health and safety, we recently attended the RoSPA Awards Ceremony, held virtually, where we were formally announced as a winner of a “Silver” internationally-recognised award for demonstrating high standards. Furthermore, to enhance our standards further, we are now delighted to announce we have been working hard over the last 6 months to achieve ISO certification for our management systems in construction. This is a huge achievement which was led by our Construction Director, Matthew Bynoe, and a dedicated team.  We are now certified in ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management. Further information is available below.

Regarding new business, we are very pleased to announce the award of a new £7.3m care home contract in Maidstone, Kent, for a new prestigious client. Our team is excited to foster another long working relationship with the client. Our team is already on site and making good progress. This is another significant development in our portfolio of healthcare construction projects. Further information is available below.

We are in advanced stages of other new business opportunities and hope to make further announcements in the near future. In particular, we have seen good interest from healthcare, automotive and commercial sectors, which are all determined to move forward with projects.

‘A picture is worth a thousand words’, so we have been busy producing more videos. Our latest video is of our automotive construction expertise, which I highly recommend. It aims to demonstrate our critical focus on quality across all our operations and on customer service. This video is available below.

Finally, with the new academic year commencing we would like to wish our trainees all the best and look forward to the lessons learnt being bought back to the workplace.

We have a number of ways for you to stay in contact with us. Our newsletters aim to keep you informed, as well as regular updates on social media (LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube).

Please contact us if you would like further information about any particular project or have a general enquiry.
