St Helena Hospice has been a charity close to our heart for a number of years. We have been honoured to support their vital work through sponsorship and fundraising initiatives. This month we received an Award from St Helena Hospice for ‘Connecting with the Business Community’.
During the summer, Horizon Construction organised events to raise money for the Birkett Long LLP sponsored “£50 Challenge” campaign for St Helena Hospice. One of those events was a 5-a-side football tournament that involved a number of construction firms in the Colchester area. It was a huge success and our efforts towards their campaign raised over £1,000.
Whilst there are more donations to arrive from all contributors to the £50 Challenge, the total amount raised is nearly £5,000. This money will have a big impact on the charity. For example, it would pay for 215 visits from a St Helena Hospice Community Nurse Specialist to patients in their own homes.
Horizon Construction was delighted to receive the Award for ‘Connecting with the Business Community’. Thank you to all our staff and firms involved in helping us raise money for St Helena Hospice – we could not have done it without you.
